Intent
Develop your skills and knowledge to help you to be more active in the support of your children’s learning and development; and positively impact on your life and that of your family.
Course content
This is a one week 1.5 hour online workshop where you will work with the tutor and other parents and carers to increase your understanding of anxiety in children, and to learn new ways to help them to manage it. This workshop is a condensed version of our longer 3 weeks course and will concentrate on strategies to help your child manage anxiety.
Who is this course for?
This course is suitable for parents, carers and grandparents who reside in Surrey.
Husbands/wives or partners are welcome to join you but both of you will need to enrol.

Failure to attend prevents someone else from enrolling on this course.

What do I need to provide and are there any additional costs?
This course is free and there are no additional costs. As this is an online course you will need:
- An email address
- A reliable internet connection
- A computer/laptop/tablet or phone with a fully updated browser (preferably Google Chrome), microphone and camera
- A pen and paper
This is a live, interactive course and you will need to log on a few minutes before the start time to access the course. You will be emailed detailed joining instructions.

At the end of this course we will give you details of what you can move on to next, for example volunteering, further courses with Surrey Adult Learning, a college or employment.
