Life & Portrait - Drawing with Life Model - All Abilities

Course intent

An inspiring one- day workshop for those who want to try life drawing for the first time and for those who want to discover new techniques and to strengthen existing observational drawing skills, working exclusively from the unclothed figure.

A mixed ability group means you can learn from other people in the class whilst discovering your own style. You will be amazed at what you can achieve in a short period of time. Enjoy the well-being benefits gained through working in a friendly, creative learning environment.

What will we cover?

The day will start with quick drawing techniques to warm up. Throughout the day we will focus on measuring the figure, addressing negative spaces, composition and mark making through use of extended drawing tools. The poses will vary in length depending on the theme.

Learners are encouraged to develop their own style and enjoy the drawing experience.

Teaching is on a class and one to one basis.

Who is this course for? Is there anything I need to know before joining?

Both for those who want to try life drawing for the first time and for those who want to discover new techniques, to strengthen existing observational drawing skills and explore working from the human figure. You will be drawing an unclothed figure.

As our courses are taught in English, please contact us if you have any concerns about your level of English.

What do I need to bring to the first class? Will there be any extra costs?
