Enrolments for autumn term start 12 July

Enrolments for our autumn term will be available to view and enrol onto from 9am on Wednesday 12 July 2023

Surrey Adult Learning offers hundreds of courses and workshops for adults of all abilities taught by highly trained specialists.

January is a great time to start a new language or return to an old one! We have beginner classes to advanced in 12 languages including Ancient Greek, Arabic, French, German, Greek, Italian, Japanese, Latin, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, or Turkish.

To keep your mind active and body well over the winter months you can choose from a wide range of arts, crafts, cookery, dance, physical activity and mindfulness courses or if you need business support we have courses dedicated to growing your business.

Do you know someone asking for help using their mobile or computer? We offer a range of digital and computer courses for all abilities, from complete beginners to more advanced.

Courses and workshops run weekdays and Saturdays across the term, with varying start dates depending on the topic and course fill quickly.

We understand everyone is still navigating this post-lockdown world, and Surrey Adult Learning are taking all the necessary steps to ensure your safety within our centres. If you don't feel comfortable coming into a centre to learn with us just yet, we do have a range of online courses which can be done from the comfort of your own home

Search for a course

Enrolments are on a first-come, first-served basis and close at least 3 working days prior to the course start date. Online enrolment is available for most of the courses and is the quickest way to enrol. If you have difficulties booking online, please contact us.

Waiting lists are in place for courses that do become full. Don't forget we do have a range of discounts and support with fees, subject to proof, available.

Free community support and adult skills programme

Community Outreach

Community Outreach offers a range of support for people with life challenges such as homelessness, long term unemployment, or on low incomes and income support. Find out about our Community Outreach courses.

English and maths

Enrolment for English and Maths Functional Skills courses for the autumn term are now open.

Family learning

Family Learning courses are free to parents and carers, including grandparents, who want support to be able to help their child with school, homework and behaviour issues. You can enrol online for Family Learning courses or email family.learning@surreycc.gov.uk.

Henrietta Parker Trust

Our Henrietta Parker Trust courses are available at a subsidised fee to eligible learners. Topics include sewing and dressmaking, cookery, including cooking on a budget, and Computer and IT skills.

Passport to Wellbeing

Passport to Wellbeing courses are designed to support adults with mental health issues. Find out about our Passport to Wellbeing courses.

Skills for work

We have created a range of Skills for Work courses designed to help build confidence in topics such as CV writing and interview techniques. Courses on business skills are also available. Find out about our Business, Employability and Digital Skills courses.

Supported learning

We run a Supported Learning programme for adults with learning disabilities. If you want to find out more please contact us, stating your name and contact details and we will be in touch to arrange an informal discussion and to discuss course suitability. Some Supported Learning courses are free, subject to eligibility.
