Sunday civil marriage and civil partnership ceremonies
We are pleased to let you know that civil marriage and civil partnership ceremonies are now also available at Leatherhead and Guildford Register Offices on Sundays.
Closure of Guildford Register Office - 1 November 2026
Guildford Register Office (Artington House)
- If you have already booked a ceremony, your booking will continue as planned.
- We are accepting ceremony bookings at Guildford Register Office up to 31 October 2026.

Register office ceremony at the Guildford Harbour Hotel
- Due to the forthcoming closure of Guildford Register Office, from 6 September 2026 to 29 March 2027, register office ceremonies for 2 to 18 guests will be hosted in a designated room (Suite 3) within the Guildford Harbour Hotel under the Windsor option, on Sundays and Mondays only.
- All other ceremony rooms at the venue are available under the Sandringham option.
Your ceremony options and fees
You can have your marriage or civil partnership ceremony at:
- one of our three register offices: Guildford, Leatherhead or Weybridge (indoors only), or
- licensed venues (indoors or outdoors, if this option is available and please note outdoors is only available during British summer time).
Your ceremony fees will depend on the ceremony option you choose, including the venue and the day of the week.

- The maximum number of guests at a Surrey Register Office, includes babies and children, your two witnesses and an interpreter, if required.

- All fees exclude marriage and civil partnership certificates. Certificates cost £12.50 each, and can be ordered and paid for at time of booking your civil partnership.

Please note: after we have confirmed your music, you will be responsible for contacting the licensed venue to organise both your music and any photography for your ceremony.
