Coronavirus and family centres
Family support workers, sometimes called outreach workers, continue to offer support to those who need it either face to face, by phone, email and video calling. Some of our buildings are closed but those that remain open have COVID-safe measures in place.
Surrey County Council is progressing plans for there to be one Family Centre in Tandridge based in Caterham. Whilst a permanent building is being sourced, the new Tandridge Family Centre will be based at Hurst Green Infant School.
The Tandridge Family Centre is providing outreach services for families where challenging family circumstances are having a significant impact on the health, development or wellbeing of the child/children living in the home. Due to the current Coronavirus restrictions, this support is provided by telephone or social media or by helping the families to access essential supplies until the social distancing restrictions are lifted.
