From 1 April 2022, the agreed inflationary uplifts for the adult social care services we buy are:
- nursing and residential care: 5%
- supported living for learning disabilities and physical and sensory disabilities: 5.6%
- shared lives and community outreach services: 5.6%
- extra care housing services: 5.3%
- day care services: 5.3%
- respite care for people with disabilities: 5.3%
- housing related support services: 5.3%
- carers services: 5.3%.

Older people nursing and residential care homes: 5% uplift
Guide prices per week for new placements:

Existing placements at or below the 2021 to 2022 guide price will receive a 5% uplift.
We won't uplift existing placements above the 2021 to 2022 guide prices.
Learning Disability nursing and residential care homes
Where pricing structure is agreed: 5% uplift
Where the pricing structure has been agreed through a previous Cost of Care project or through CareCubed, there will be uplifts of 5% for the core weekly fee and additional personalised care.
Where no pricing structure agreed - no uplift
Where there is no pricing structure agreed, there is no uplift.

Physical/sensory disability or mental health specialist care homes: 5% uplift
There is a 5% uplift for care homes that are specifically focused on the provision of care for working age adults with physical or sensory disabilities, or mental health problems.
This applies to the core weekly fees and any additional personalised care.
Care in the home providers
Please refer to the contractual terms agreed in your 'Pricing and Invoicing Protocol', agreed in 2021. We won't apply an inflationary uplift.
The current Approved Provider List (APL) framework went live on 1 October 2021 with prices fixed until 31 March 2023. Existing packages received an uplift from 1 October 2021 when the new framework went live.
This applies to home based care, live in care, sleep in and waking nights.
Extra care housing: 5.3% uplift
There is an uplift of 5.3% for formal extra care contracts for planned care and emergency support.
For planned care, please invoice us at your current agreed rate plus 5.3%.
For emergency support, we will pay monthly scheduled payments at the uplifted level.
Supported living care services
Learning disabilities
Where the pricing structure has been agreed through a previous Cost of Care project or through CareCubed, there will be uplifts of 5.6%. We update payments automatically.

Mental health
Prices for these services are fixed by your contract terms until March 2024. We won't apply an inflationary uplift.
Specialist physical or sensory disability
From 1 April 2022, there is an uplift of 5.6% for supported care settings focused on the provision of care to working age adults with a physical or sensory disability.
If you invoice us for services, please invoice us at previously agreed rates and add 5.6% from 1 April 2022.
Shared lives placements: 5.6% uplift
From 1 April 2022, there is an uplift of 5.6% for supported care settings focused on the provision of care to working age adults with a physical or sensory disability.
Please invoice us at previously agreed rates and add 5.6% from 1 April 2022.
Community outreach services: 5.6% uplift
From 1 April 2022, there is an uplift of 5.6% for supported care settings focused on the provision of care to working age adults with a physical or sensory disability.
Please invoice us at previously agreed rates and add 5.6% from 1 April 2022.
Day care packages: 5.3% uplift
From 1 April 2022, there is an uplift of 5.3% for all day care packages across all client groups.
Please invoice us at previously agreed rates and add 5.3% from 1 April 2022.
Respite services for people with disabilities: 5.3% uplift
Where the pricing structure has been agreed with providers for respite, there are uplifts of 5.3% from 1 April 2022.
Rates for all other respite placements for people with disabilities are agreed at the time of commissioning services, based on the needs of the individual and recognising that these are short term care arrangements. This will continue to be the case.
Housing related support contracts: 5.3% uplift
The total value of all housing related support contracts is uplifted by 5.3% from 1 April 2022.
Payment of the uplift will automatically be included in your scheduled monthly payments.
If you raise service related invoices please do so at the uplifted rate.
