Stay up to date in the way that suits you best

As a resident, we know that you value feeling well informed about local authority services and what is going on in your area. The good news is that we offer lots of different ways to stay informed about Surrey. Take a look at the options below.

Newsletters

If you want a monthly round up of the most important news, features and events in Surrey, then look no further than our Surrey Matters e-newsletter. Sign up now using our global sign-up form to receive the newsletter directly to your inbox at the start of each month.

Social media

Follow us on social media for regular updates. You can find us on Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok and NextDoor.

Our social channels are a great place ask a question, raise a concern, or let us know what you are up to. We are active in the comments and monitor these channels from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday, excluding Bank Holidays.

We also have many other service-specific Facebook pages, X accounts, and Instagram profiles. However, we aren’t able to reply to comments on all these pages.

Whatsapp

Did you know that we have an official Whatsapp channel? Subscribe today to receive weekly updates with important news and information. This is a great option if you are active in lots of WhatsApp chats, as you can forward useful information from our channel to your own groups with the click of a button!

Official Community Link Officer Facebook pages

Each district and borough in Surrey has its own Community Link Officer (CLO). CLOs can help provide you with up-to-date information about your local district/borough. Don’t be afraid to reach out, they are here to help!

You can also follow your local Community Link Officer on Facebook to keep up to date with what’s happening in the area.

Community Champions

If you are an active participant in your local community, join our Community Champions Facebook group. In this group, we post about services, events and updates that your community may find useful. It also provides a safe space to ask questions and discuss important local issues.

Please note that this group is private. The reason for this is that we want to create an environment where you can ask questions without the fear of public criticism. However, anyone is welcome to join and we encourage you to get involved and stay connected.
