Report or track faults with street and sign lighting

Report an emergency

This reporting tool should be used for non-emergency situations only, all emergencies should be phoned through to our Contact Centre. If you are unsure on whether or not your issue is considered an emergency please refer to reporting a street light emergency web page or view the what is a street lighting emergency document (PDF).

Who owns the streetlights?

Please be aware that not all the street lights in Surrey are maintained by the County Council, some may be owned and maintained by the housing authorities or by district and borough councils. These street lights tend to be lights in car parks, amenity or recreational areas. You will know if we maintain the lights, as they will appear on the interactive map located on this page.

Report multiple faults

Should you wish to report multiple faults you should do so by using the report without using the map feature below. Once you have selected the relevant road, you can then select the necessary assets before continuing. If however all of the lights are out on a road, this should be logged under one asset and then selected as the fault type.
