Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023

On 26 April 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Whitmore Vale Road (D5500) Hindhead as extends from its junction with the access to the property known as "Little Oaks" to its junction with the access to the property known as "Woodland View".

Alternative Route: Whitmore Vale Road, (A287) Churt Road, Tilford Road, (A333) Portsmouth Road, Headley Road and Whitmore Vale Road or this route in reverse. This Order is required to carry out installation of new electrical connection works by or on behalf of Scottish & Southern Electricity Networks.

These works are anticipated to be completed within 2 weeks, between the hours of 7.30am and 5pm during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 15 May 2023.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
