Temporary changes or road closure information that may affect your journey by bus will be listed below when details are available. This information is supplied in good faith and is accurate at the time of publishing. Passengers should be aware that changes in road closure schedules can affect the start and length of works and checks should be made with the bus operator before travelling.

Kingfield Road, Woking

Due to emergency gas works, Kingfield Road, Woking has been closed from Monday 17 November for approximately 5 days. As a result the Stagecoach 34 service will be on diversion via Westfield Avenue, and will be unable to serve the stops on Kingfield Road known as "Leisure Centre" and "Kingfield Green", and on Vicarage Road known as "Vicarage Road" and "Apers Avenue". School bus services in the area will continue to operate to all stops as normal, but delays are to be expected due to the diversion required.

Pursers Lane, Peaslake

Due to emergency gas works, Pursers Lane, Peaslake has been closed from Monday 17 November for approximately 1 week. As a result the Compass 25 service will be on diversion, and will be unable to serve the villages of Gomshall, Shere and Peaslake until the road is re-opened. School bus services in the area will continue to operate to all stops as normal, but delays are to be expected due to the diversion required.

Hurst Road, East Molesey

From Wednesday 19 November, Hurst Road in East Molesey will be shut for 2 nights between the hours of 8pm and 6am for resurfacing works. The closure is from the junction of New Road to near Buckingham Avenue.

Falcon service 461 will divert via Creek Road, Bridge Road and Walton Road in both directions. It will not be able to serve stops at Hampton Court Station, Hurst Road, Graburn Way, Merton Way, Park Way, Hurst Park Tesco and New Road.

Godalming Road, Loxhill

From Monday 17 November, Godalming Road in Loxhill has been closed at the junction of Dunsfold Common Road due to emergency water works. The works are expected to last until 19 November.

Compass service 42 is on diversion and will operate the normal line of route to Alfold Crossways, then via the A281 Horsham Road to Shalford, A248 to Peasmarsh, A3100 Old Portsmouth Road to Godalming. It will not be able to serve Dunsfold, Hascombe or Winkworth Arboretum. The service is likely to experience delays as there are also works affecting the service on Elmbridge Road (see below).

Elmbridge Road, Cranleigh

From Monday 17 November, Elmbridge Road in Cranleigh will be closed for 3 days between the hours of 10am to 4pm for surfacing works.

Compass service 42 will divert via Horsham Road, Wildwood Lane and Knowle Lane and Compass service 24 will divert via Rowley and Rushett Common Road. The bus stops on Elmbridge Road will not be served while the road is closed.

The Street, Wonersh

From Monday 17 November, The Street in Wonersh is closing for 3 day due to works by Thames Water.

Compass service 43, and Stagecoach services 53/63 will divert via Christmas Hill and Kings Road in both directions and will not be able to serve stops along Station Road or Horsham Road in Bramley.

Maybury Road, Woking

Due to carriageway resurfacing works by Surrey Highways, Maybury Road, Woking will be closed from Monday 17 November for approximately 10 nights (8pm - 6am, weekday nights only). As a result the Falcon 436 service will be on diversion via Monument Road and Chertsey Road in both directions, and bus stops on Maybury Road will not be served whilst the road is closed.

Hampton Court Road, Kingston

From 10 November until 18 November, Hampton Court Road in Kingston is closed between the hours of 10pm to 5am for resurfacing works on weeknights only.

Falcon service 461 and Transport for London service 411 will divert from Hampton Court Road to Hampton Hill, Broad Street, Park Road, Sandy Lane, Park Road and will rejoin the line of route at Church Grove. The buses will do the same in reverse.

Old Road, Buckland

Due to emergency gas main repair works by SGN, Old Road, Buckland is currently closed until approximately Friday 21 November. As a result the Compass 32 service is on diversion via the A25 Regiate Road and Station Road in both directions, and bus stops on Old Road cannot be served. The next-nearest bus stops will be the "Post Office" stops on Old Reigate Road outside Betchworth Post Office.

Bagshot Road, Brookwood

From Wednesday 12 November, there are temporary traffic lights on Bagshot Road near the junction of Connaught Road for emergency gas works. The lights are expected to remain in place until 19 November.

Due to the delays caused by the lights, and delays caused by the road closure on Dawney Hill (see below), Falcon service 28 will not be serving Connaught Road and Brookwood Station.  For passengers towards Guildford the nearest stop is The Nags Head on Bagshot Road. For passengers towards Woking, the nearest stop is the Crossroads on Bagshot Road.

Old Portsmouth Road, Peasmarsh

Due to major footway improvement works by Surrey Highways, Old Portsmouth Road, Peasmarsh (south of the junction with New Pond Road) will be closed from Monday 17 November for approximately 4 weeks (weekday nights only, between 8pm and 6am).

As a result the Stagecoach 70, 71 and 72 services will be affected, and will be on diversion via New Pond Road, Furze Lane, Bourne Road, Summers Road, St John's Street and Hare Lane in both directions. Bus stops on A3100 Old Portsmouth Road/Guildford Road/Meadrow will not be served between the junctions with New Pond Road and Hare Lane whilst these night works take place.

A3 Portsmouth road closures

National Highways are carrying out major safety improvement works to the A3 Wisley Interchange (M25 Junction 10). As a result there will be a series of weekend road closures at this location. This page will be updated when the next works are announced.

When closures are in place, the Falcon 714/'/715 service may only operate between Kingston and Cobham. The White Bus 462/463 service may not operate between Send Marsh Road and Ockham Roundabout, with bus stops in Ripley not being served.

As the nature of the closures may change as works progress, and different diversions may be necessary, we would advise passengers wishing to travel on these services to check the Falcon and White Bus websites for further updates before travelling.

Farnham Town Centre Improvement Works

From Saturday 1 November, as part of the Farnham town centre improvement works, Downing Street in Farnham has re-opened and the bus routes are being revised. The temporary bus stop outside Jack and Alice has been moved back to outside the Queens Head on The Borough. After this, the next phase of works are expected to start in January 2026 and this page will be updated when further information is available.

  • Stagecoach 4 - Will continue to divert via the A31 and West Street. There are no changes to the timetable.
  • Stagecoach 5 – Will continue to divert via the A31 and West Street. There are no changes to the timetable.
  • Stagecoach 16/18/19 - Towards Aldershot, the buses will revert to using Union Road and Downing Street instead of the A31 and West Street. There are no changes to the timetable.
  • Stagecoach 46 – The service will continue to divert via Farnham Railway Station to enter Farnham via South Street, and will then terminate on Union Road. The return journey will continue to leave Union Road via Long Bridge and Firgrove Hill. There are no changes to the timetable.
  • Stagecoach 65 – Towards Alton, the bus will revert to using Union Road and Downing Street. There are no changes to the timetable.
  • Stagecoach 404 – The 0751 journey from Farnham Hospital will continue to leave five minutes earlier to allow for extra traffic in the area, and will revert to using Union Road and Downing Street.

From Monday 3 November until 3 December there will be night works taking place on South Street in Farnham between the hours of 10pm to 6am Monday to Friday when the road will be closed.

  • Stagecoach service 5 - The last two journeys at 2210 and 2315 from Aldershot will follow the normal route as far as East Street (stop J) and will then divert via Woolmead Road, East Street, Guildford Road, the Shepherd and Flock roundabout and the A31 Farnham By-pass to Farnham Station. Returning from Farnham Station the bus will follow the normal route along the A31, West Street and The Borough.

The next phase of works are expected to start in January 2026 and this page will be updated when further information is available..

High Street, Weybridge

From Thursday 23 October, there are a series of works taking place on Weybridge High Street for highway repair and maintenance works. These works are expected to finish on 5 December.

On 23 October and 24 October between the hours of 8pm until 6am, the A317 will be closed and the bus stops at the Ship Hotel and Weybridge Library will be suspended.

  • Falcon service 436 from Woking will divert to and from Weybridge Station via Heath Road and Balfour Road to turn around. Passengers are advised to use the bus stop named The Quadrant on Heath Road.
  • Falcon service 461 from Kingston will divert from Oatlands Drive, Hanger Hill, Heath Road and Balfour Road. It will do the same in reverse. Passengers are advised to use stops in Heath Road or Balfour Road.

From 27 October until 14 November, The Ship Hotel bus stop will be suspended in the westbound direction.

  • Falcon service 436 (which normally terminates at The Ship) will operate in a clockwise direction from Weybridge Station via Heath Road to terminate opposite Weybridge Library. It will then proceed down the High Street serving the Ship, Monument Hill, Hanger Hill, Brooklands Road back to its normal line of route.
  • Falcon services 461 and 515, and Chatterbus services C1 and C2 passengers are advised to use the next stop at Weybridge Library.

From Saturday 15 November, bus services will return to normal until the next phase on 4 December.

On 4 December and 5 December between the hours of 8pm until 6am, the A317 will be closed and the bus stops at the Ship Hotel and Weybridge Road will be suspended.

  • Falcon service 436 from Woking will divert to and from Weybridge Station via Heath Road and Balfour Road to turn around. Passengers are advised to use the bus stop named The Quadrant on Heath Road.
  • Falcon service 461 from Kingston will divert from Oatlands Drive, Hanger Hill, Heath Road and Balfour Road. It will do the same in reverse. Passengers are advised to use stops in Heath Road or Balfour Road.

Approach Road, West Molesey

From Monday 20 October, Approach Road in West Molesey will be closed from 8am to 5pm on weekdays, and from 8am to 1pm on Saturdays until 10 November for gas works.

While the road is closed, Falcon services 514 and 814 will be diverted from the High Street to Priory Lane and Beauchamp Road where they will resume the normal line of route. The buses will do the same in reverse. Bus stops at High Street, Island Farm Road and Ray Road will not be served.

Dawney Hill, Pirbright

Due to major works by Surrey Highways, Dawney Hill, Pirbright (between the junctions of Gole Road and School Lane) will be closed from Monday 13 October for approximately 5 months. Due to this closure, the following bus services will be on diversion: Falcon 28 and 690, and Stagecoach 28 and 91.

Whilst works take place, the Falcon 28 service and the Stagecoach 28 and 91 services will still serve bus stops along Connaught Road between Bagshot Road and Brookwood Railway Station, but will be unable to serve the following bus stops in the Pirbright/Brookwood area: Church Close, Railway Arch, Caterham Close, Brookwood Memorial and School Lane.

The Falcon 690 service will still serve all bus stops along Connaught Road and in Pirbright Camp, but will double-run Connaught Road to use Cemetery Pales as their diversion route. As a result the following bus stops will not be served: Caterham Close, Brookwood Memorial and School Lane.

Passengers should be aware that, due to these diversions, services may suffer delays at peak hours.

Send Marsh Road, Send

From Monday 1 September, Send Marsh Road in Send will be closed until approximately 19 December due to gas works.

White Bus services 462 and 463 will divert via Send Barns Lane and Portsmouth Road in both directions. The bus stops at Old Hall, Send Marsh Green, Tuckey Grove and Send Marsh Road (on Send Marsh Road) will not be served.

A320 Guildford Road, Chertsey

As part of the A320 North of Woking Improvements Scheme there are road works taking place on the A320 Guildford Road that will affect bus services. There will be a series of evening and weekend closures by St Peter's Hospital and this page will be updated when further works are announced.

While the road is closed, White Bus service 446 and Falcon service 461 will be diverting via Foxhill Road, Stonehill Road and Holloway Hill and will be using the hospital entrance on Holloway Hill to serve the St Peter's Hospital bus stop.

High Street, Godstone

Due to a major sinkhole appearing in the carriageway, High Street, Godstone (between the junctions with A25 Oxted Road and Salisbury Road) has been closed from 18 February until further notice. Reports indicate the road will most likely remain closed for several months.

As a result of this closure the Metrobus 400, 409 and 410 services are on diversion and cannot use Godstone High Street. Passengers are advised to catch their bus from the "Godstone Green" bus stop (near the Needle's Bank public toilets) instead. In addition the 410 service will also be unable to serve the "Crowhurst Mead" or "Church Lane" bus stops on the A25 Oxted Road.

With regards to school services, the Metrobus 612 service for Oxted School will also be on diversion, and will be unable to serve the "Crowhurst Mead" or "Church Lane" bus stops on A25 Oxted Road. Passengers for this service should either catch the bus from the "Godstone Green" bus stop (near the Needle's Bank public toilets) or can alternatively catch the Metrobus 611 service to Oxted School from the "Crowhurst Mead" and "Church Lane" bus stops on A25 Oxted Road. Passengers should bear in mind that this service operates slightly earlier than the Metrobus 612 service, arriving at the "Crowhurst Mead" bus stop at 07:59, to arrive at Oxted School for 08:14.

Metrobus service 430 and 435

From 29 October 2022, Metrobus services 430 and 435 will not serve Royal Earlswood Park, Prince's Road and Earlsbrook Road due to operational issues until further notice. Bus stops along Woodlands Road will still be served as normal.
