Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023

On 03 May 2023 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; a) West Palace Gardens (D3920) Weybridge as extends from its junction with (D3920) Grotto Road to its junction with (D3919) Old Palace Road and; b) Old Palace Road (D3919) Weybridge as extends from its junction with (D3876) Thames Street to its junction with (D3920) West Palace Gardens.

Alternative Route – (1) Old Palace Road, Thames Street, Grotto Road or this route in reverse and; (2) West Palace Gardens, Grotto Road, and Thames Street or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to facilitate gas mains replacement works and/or utility maintenance works to be carried out by, or on behalf of SGN within the length of road described in this notice. Please note that this is a rolling closure and only one closure will be in effect at any one time. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 4 days, between the hours of 8am and 5pm within the 12 month period of operation of the Temporary Order that commences on 22 May 2023.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for resident, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access for the emergency services and all other vehicular traffic will be required to follow the signed diversion route.
