Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023

On 24 May 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Waverley Lane (B3001) Farnham as extends from its junction with (D5324) Abbots Ride to its junction with (D5300) Monks Walk.

Alternative Route:- Waverley Lane, Farnham Road, Milford Road, Elstead Road, (A3) Guildford- Godalming By-pass, Puttenham Heath Road, Puttenham Hill, (A31) Hogs Back, (A31) Runfold Diversion, (A31) Farnham By-pass and Station Hill or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to facilitate installation of new track, boxes and chamber works for or on behalf of Swish Fibre. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 12 days between the hours of 7am and 6pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 12 June 2023.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. All other traffic will be required to follow the diversion route.
