Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2023

On 15 November 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of;

(a) Vicarage Hill (D5322) Farnham as extends from its junction with (D5321) Swingate Road to its junction with (A287) Frensham Road; and

(b) Suspend "The Surrey County Council Vicarage Hill (D5322) Farnham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023" in its entirety.

Alternative Route: Swingate Road, Old Farnham Lane, and (A287) Firgrove Hill, and (A287) Frensham Road or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to facilitate installation of new telegraph pole works as well as tree cutting works for, or on behalf of BT Openreach. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 30 November 2023.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. All other vehicular traffic will be required to follow the diversion route.
