Various Roads in the Borough of Elmbridge
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.4) 2023
On 13 September 2023 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 of the Act the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of road described in the Schedule to this Notice.
This Order is required to facilitate highways improvement and/or maintenance works by or on behalf of Surrey County Council. These works are anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within 18-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 30 September 2023.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road including access by emergency vehicles to these properties will be maintained only when safe to do so, if necessary, via the diversion route. All other traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. During certain phases of the works, vehicular access to premises may be restricted, when this is the case such restriction of access will apply for no more than eight hours within any 24-hour period.

(i) that length of Baker Street (C154) Weybridge as extends from its junction with (D3884) Springfield Meadows to its junction with (A317) Monument Hill.
There is no alternative route for this closure.
(ii) that length of Monument Hill (A317) Weybridge as extends from its junction with (D3918) Castleview Road to its junction with (D3918) Manor Court.
Alternative Route: (A317) Monument Hill, (A317) Queens Road, (B373) Hanger Hill, (B374) Heath Road, (B374) Church Street, (A317) Church Street, (A317) High Street, and (A317) Monument Hill.
(iii) that length of Queens Road (A317) Weybridge as extends from its junction with (X68502) North Common to its junction with (X6398) Oakfield Glade.
