Upshot Lane (B367) Woking

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023

On 1 November 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Upshot Lane (B367) Woking as extends from its junction with (D3739) Pyrford Common Road to its junction with (D3746) Engliff Lane.

Alternative Route: (D3739) Pyrford Common Road, (B382) Old Woking Road, (A245) Old Woking Road, (B367) Oakcroft Road, and (B367) Coldharbour Road, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to facilitate electrical cabling works for, or on behalf of UKPN. These works are anticipated to be carried out within 16 days, Monday to Saturday only, between the hours of 7am and 5pm within 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 13 November 2023.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, pedestrians will be maintained at all times. All other traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time, under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period.
