Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
On 10 May 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Tuesley Lane (D169) Godalming as extends from its junction with the access point to the property known as "Ladywell Convent" to its junction with the access point to the property known as "Tuesley Manor".
Alternative Route: Tuesley Lane, Station Lane, Portsmouth Road, Shackstead Lane, and Tuesley Lane or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to carry out removal of trees and overhanging branches, works by, or on behalf of J & G Traffic. These works are anticipated to be completed over 1 day between 9am and 4pm during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 30 May 2023.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Due to the nature of the works, it will not be possible to maintain vehicular access through the closure, and all vehicular traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.
