Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
On 19 April 2023 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles or by any other means from entering or proceeding in that length of The Walk (T10078) Tandridge from a point in line with the southern boundary of No.4 St Denys Orchard to a point in line with the common boundary between number 1 and number 2 St Denys Orchard.
There is no alternative route for this closure.
This Order, which will commence on 8 May 2023 for a period of 6 months is required to facilitate sewer connection works to be completed by or on behalf of Coppard Plant Hire Limited. These works are anticipated to be completed within 12 days between the hours of 8am and 4pm.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Due to the nature of the works, there will be no vehicular access through the works area whilst works are in progress, such restriction of access will apply for no more than eight hours within any 24 hour period. Access for emergency service, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access will be given to residents via the road plates at the end of each working day.
