Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
On 22 November 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of The Mount (D4016) Guildford as extends from its junction with (A3100) Portsmouth Road to its junction with (D4016) Wodeland Avenue.
Alternative Route: (1) Wodeland Avenue, Wherwell Road, (A31) Farnham Road, (A322) Bridge Street, (A322) Onslow Street, (A3100) Park Street, and (A3100) Portsmouth Road; and (2) (A3100) Portsmouth Road, (A3100) Park Street, (A31) Farnham Road, Wherwell Road, and Wodeland Avenue.
This Order is required to facilitate the removal of vegetation works for, or on behalf of Dyer & Butler. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 2 days between the hours of 8am and 4pm within 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 07 December 2023.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route.
