Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023

On 5 April 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Swiss Close (D5302) Farnham.

This Order is required to facilitate installation of new track, boxes and chamber works for or on behalf of Swish Fibre. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 16 days between the hours of 7am and 6pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 24 April 2023.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.

There is no alternative route for this closure.

Alternative Route- Southlands Avenue, Horley Row, Vicarage Lane and (A23) Brighton Road.
