Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
On 17 May 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Sutton Green Road (D3707) Guildford as extends from its junction with (D3707) Whitmoor Lane to its junction with (D3706) New Lane. #
Alternative Route:- Blanchards Hill, Clay Lane, (A320) Guildford Road, (A320) Egley Road, (B380) Guildford Road, (B380) Westfield Road, (D3706) Moor Lane, New Lane, and Sutton Green Road or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate installation of new overhead cabling works for or on behalf of BT Openreach. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day between the hours of 8am and 4pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 05 June 2023.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via the operative on site, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
