Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2023
On 02 August 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of;
a) Station Road (B2032) Betchworth as extends from its roundabout junction with (A25) Reigate Road to its junction with (X25097) The Coombe and;
b) suspend "The Surrey County Council B2032 Station Road, Betchworth Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023" insofar as it affects that length of road specified in part (a) to this Notice .
Alternative Route: a) (B2032) Pebble Hill, Dorking Road, (A217) Brighton Road, Reigate Hill, London Road, (A25) Castlefield Road, Church Street, High Street, West Street, Buckland Road, and Reigate Road, and;
b) (A25) Reigate Road, Buckland Road, West Street, (A25) London Road, (A217) London Road, Reigate Hill, Brighton Road, (B2032) Dorking Road, and Pebble Hill Road.
This Order is required for safe access to facilitate carriageway telecom and utility works for, or on behalf of BT Openreach. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 night between the hours of 7pm and 7am, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 16 August 2023.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. All other vehicular traffic will be required to follow the diversion route.
