Shillinglee Park Road (D160) Chiddingfold
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
On 20 September 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Shillinglee Park Road (D160) Chiddingfold as extends from its junction with (D160) Pickhurst Road to its junction with the county boundary line between Surrey County Council and West Sussex County Council.
Alternative Route: (D160) Pickhurst Road, (C34) Pickhurst Road, (C34) The Green, (A283) Petworth Road, Cripplecrutch Hill, Shillinglee Road, and Shillinglee Park Road, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate installation of new water connection works for, or on behalf of Thames Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 6 days between the hours of 8am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 4 October 2023.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. Road plates can be provided if required via the operatives on site.
