Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023

On 18 October 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of River Bank (A3050) East Molesey as extends from its junction with (D6935) Feltham Avenue to its junction with (A3050) Hurst Road.

Alternative Route: (1) (A3050) Bridge Road, (A309) Hampton Court Way, (A3050) Creek Road, (B3379) Bridge Road, (B369) Walton Road, and (A3050) Hurst Road;

(2) (A3050) Hurst Road, (B369) Walton Road, and (B3379) Bridge Road, (A3050) Bridge Road.

This Order is required to facilitate installation of electrical works for, or on behalf of UKPN. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 2 nights and 3 days between the hours of 8pm and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 03 November 2023.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time, under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24 hour period.
