Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

On 13 February 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of the eastbound carriageway of Portesbery Road (D3511) Camberley as extends from its junction with (D3512) High Street to its junction with (D3512) Knoll Road.

Alternative Route: (D3512) High Street, (D3512) St Georges Road, and (D3512) Knoll Road.

This Order is required to carry out underground cabling works for, or on behalf of BT Openreach.

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day, between 8am and 4pm during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 03 March 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists. All other traffic will be required to follow the alternative route described above. No sole access is affected by this closure.
