Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
On 12 April 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and (7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; a) Park Row (D5336) Farnham as extends from its junction with (D5336) Bear Lane to its junction with (A287) Castle Street; b) suspend "The Surrey County Council D5336 Park Row, D5336 High Park Road and Beaufort Road Farnham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2022" insofar as it affects that length of road specified in part (a) to this Notice.
Alternative Route – 1) High Park Road, Upper South View, Lower South View, St Cross Road, East Street, Dodflud Way, East Street, South Street, Union Road, Downing Street, The Borough and Castle Street and 2) Castle Street, The Borough, Woolmead Road and Bear Lane.
This Order is required to facilitate improvement works for or on behalf of Apex Traffic Management. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 20 days within 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 01 May 2023.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All vehicular traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route.
