Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

On 31 January 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of;

(a) Outwood Lane (B2032) Chipstead as extends from its junction with (D1151) Castle Road to its junction with (B2032) Waterhouse Lane; and

(b) Waterhouse Lane (B2032) Kingswood as extends from its junction with (B2032) Outwood Lane to its junction with (D1114) Furze Hill.

Alternative Route: (B2032) Bonsor Drive, (A217) Brighton Road, (B2219) Garratts Lane, (B2219) Holly Lane, (B2219) Lower Park Road, and (B2032) Outwood Lane, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to facilitate refreshment of road marking works for, or on behalf of Surrey County Council. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 night between the hours of 8pm and 5am within 18-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 12 February 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed; and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle's owner. Access for residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route.
