Oriental Road (D3710), Heathside Crescent (D3708) and Station Approach (D3708) Woking
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
On 11 October 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of;
(1) Oriental Road (D3710) Woking as extends from its junction with (D3708) White Rose Lane to its junction with Heathside Crescent;
(2) Heathside Crescent (D3708) Woking as extends from its junction with (D3710) Oriental Road to its junction with (D3708) Station Approach;
(3) Station Approach (D3708) Woking from its junction (D3710) Oriental Road to its junction with (X5398) Station Approach.
Alternative Route: White Rose, and (A320) Heathside Road.
This Order is required to carry out chamber carriageway works by, or on behalf of BT Openreach. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 2 nights between 10pm and 6am, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 25 October 2023.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Due to the nature of the works, it will not be possible to maintain vehicular access through the closure, and all vehicular traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.
