Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023

On 01 November 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of the north to south cul- de- sac arm of Ockford Ridge (D5425) Godalming (including the turning circle at the southern end) that serves the properties No.53 to No.65.

This Order is required to facilitate installation of sewer works for, or on behalf of Thakeham Partnerships Ltd. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 4 months between the hours of 8am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 14 November 2023.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via the traffic marshalls and banksmen on site. There is no alternative route for this closure.
