Temporary Traffic Management Order 2023

On 23 August 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and 14 (7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily –
(a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Oak Road (D2541) Leatherhead; and

(b) suspend the one-way system of traffic in the entire length of Oak Road (D2541) Leatherhead that is imposed by "Surrey County Council (Oak Road) Leatherhead (One-Way Traffic) Order 1981" in its entirety.

The Order is required to facilitate new water connection works for, or on behalf of SES Water.

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days between the hours of 9am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 04 September 2023.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary restrictions and the suspension of the Orders will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed and to the extent indicated by those traffic signs. Access for emergency services, residents and pedestrians will be maintained at all times. Road plates will be added during non-working hours. During certain phases of the works, vehicular access to premises may be restricted, when this is the case such restriction of access will apply for no more than eight hours within any 24-hour period.

There is no alternative diversion route for this closure.
