Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
On 24 May 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Museum Hill (D5526) Haslemere as extends from its junction with (B2131) Petworth Road in a southwesterly direction for a distance of 15 meters.
Alternative Route:- a) Petworth Road, Lower Street, Shepherds Hill, and Hill Road and; b) Museum Hill, Hill Road, Shepherds Hill, Lower Street, High Street, and Petworth Road.
This Order is required to facilitate installation of new telecom cable works and remedial works for or on behalf of C8TM. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days between the hours of 8am and 5pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 12 June 2023.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
