Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023

On 19 April 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Moushill Lane (D147) Milford.

This Order is required to carry out telecom utility works by, or on behalf of Swish Fibre. These works are anticipated to be completed within 30 days, between the hours of 8am and 6pm during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 08 May 2023.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure which is anticipated to be in force 24 per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. All other traffic will be required to follow the alternative route described below.

Alternative routes: a) (A286) Haslemere Road, (A283) Cherry Tree Road and (A3100) Portsmouth Road; b) (A3100) Portsmouth Road, (D148) New Road, (A286) Haslemere Road, (A286) Cherry Tree Roundabout, and (A286) Haslemere Road.
