More Lane (D6898) and Mill Road (D6900) Esher
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2023


On 11 October 2023 Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of;

(a) More Lane (D6898) Esher as extends from its junction with the northern arm of (D6899) Lower Green Road to its junction with (D6900) Mill Road; and

(b) Mill Road (D6900) Esher as extends from its junction with (D6898) More Lane to its junction with (D6900) Farm Road; and

(c) Suspend "The Surrey County Council Mill Road (D6900) and More Lane (D6898) Esher Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2022 in its entirety.

Alternative Route: More Lane, Lower Green Road, Woodend, The Woodlands, Douglas Road, and Farm Road or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to carry out new water connection works by, or on behalf of Morrison Utility Services. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days between 8am and 5pm during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 25 October 2023.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, pedestrians, and residents will be maintained at all times via road plates. All other vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.
