Massetts Road (C64) Horley
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
On 05 July 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Massetts Road (C64) Horley as extends from its junction with (A23) Brighton Road to its junction with (D555) Wolverton Gardens.
Alternative Route: a) (A23) Brighton Road, (A23) Balcombe Road, and (A23) Brighton Road and;
b) Massetts Road, Victoria Road, and (A23) Brighton Road.
This Order is required to carry out excavation works by, or on behalf of Cappagh Contractors. These works are anticipated to be completed over 13 days, between 8am and 5pm, Monday to Friday, and between 8am and 4pm on Saturday during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 22 July 2023.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Due to the nature of the works, it will not be possible to maintain vehicular access through the closure, and all vehicular traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.
