Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023

On 29 November 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Madeira Road (D3759) West Byfleet as extends from its junction with (D3759) Station Approach and (D3759) Lavender Park Road to its junction with (C130) Camphill Road.

Alternative Road: (1) Madeira Road, Station Approach, Old Woking Road, and Camphill Road, or this route in reverse; and (2) Camphill Road and Lavender Park Road.

This Order is required to facilitate installation of pipe works for, or on behalf of Affinity Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days between the hours of 8am and 4pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 12 December 2023.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. All other vehicular traffic will be required to follow the diversion routes.
