Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023

On 26 April 2023 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of a) Lynchford Road (D4045) Ash Vale that is crossed by the level crossing known as "North Camp Level Crossing" and for a distance of 20 metres and b) in that length of Lysons Avenue (D4045) Ash Vale that is crossed by the level crossing known as "North Camp Level Crossing" for a distance of 20 metres.

Alternative Route – Lynchford Road, North Camp Roundabout, Lynchford Road and Lysons Avenue or this route in reverse. Alternative Route for Pedestrians- Lynchford Road and Lysons Avenue or this route in reverse.

The Order is required to facilitate telecom and signal maintenance works to be carried out by, or on behalf of Centurion within the length of roads described in this notice. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 2 nights between the hours of 10pm and 6am within the 18 month period of operation of this Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 15 May 2023.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of roads, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained at all times along with dismounted cyclists. Due to the nature of the works, pedestrian access will be via diversion route above.
