Lodkin Hill (D199) and Thorncombe Street (D199) Bramley
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of;
(i) Lodkin Hill (D199) Bramley as extends from its junction with (D199) Thorncombe Street to its junction with (B2130) Hascombe Street and (B2130) The Street;
(ii) Thorncombe Street (D199) Bramley as extends from its junction with Lodkin Hill to its junction with Bramley Footpath,(Rights of Way Route 166).
Alternative Route: Thorncombe Street, Snowdenham Lane, Munstead Heath Road, and Hascombe Road or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate installation and removal of telegraph pole works for, or on behalf of BT Openreach. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 2 days between the hours of 8am and 4pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 3 October 2023.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. All other vehicular traffic will be required to follow the diversion route.
