Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023

On 05 July 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Leatherhead Road (A24) Leatherhead as extends from its junction at the roundabout with (B2122) Epsom Road and (A243) By-Pass Road and (A24) By-Pass Road to its junction with (D2575) Grange Road.

Alternative Route: Eastbound Diversion: (A24) By-Pass Road, (A24) Dorking Road, (A24) London Road, (A24) Mickleham By-Pass, (A24) London Road, (A24) Deepdene Avenue, (A25) Reigate Road, (A25) Buckland Road, (A25) West Street, (A25) London Road, (A217) London Road, (A217) Reigate Hill, (A217) Brighton Road, (A240) Reigate Road, (A2022) College Road, (A2022) Alexandra Road, (A2022) Upper High Street, (A24) High Street, (A24) Ashley Road, (A24) Ashley Avenue, (A24) South Street, (A24) Dorking Road, (A24) Epsom Road, (A24) The Street, and (A24) Leatherhead Road. Westbound Diversion: (A24) Leatherhead Road, (A24) The Street, (A24) Epsom Road, (A24) Dorking Road, (A24) South Street, (A24) High Street, (A2022) Upper High Street, (A2022) Alexandra Road, (A2022) College Road, (A240) Reigate Road, (A217) Brighton Road, (A217) Reigate Hill, (A217) London Road, (A25) Castlefield Road, (A25) Church Street, (A25) High Street, (A25) West Street, (A25) Buckland Road, (A25) Reigate Road, (A24) Deepdene Avenue, (A24) London Road, (A24) Mickleham By-Pass, (A24) London Road, (A24) Dorking Road, and (A24) By-Pass Road.

This Order is required to facilitate joint investigation works for or on behalf of Octavius Infrastructure Ltd. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 nights between the hours of 10pm and 5.30am, during the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 19 July 2023.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via the operatives on site, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
