Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023

On 03 May 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Lavender Park Road (D3759) West Byfleet as extends from its junction with Camphill Road and for a distance of 30 metres in a north westerly direction along Lavender Park Road.

Alternative Route – (C130) Camphill Road and(D3759) Madeira Road or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to facilitate water connection works for or on behalf of Network Plus. These works are anticipated to be completed over 19 days between the hours of 8am and 6pm within 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 22 May 2023.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Due to the nature of the works, it will not be possible to maintain access through the closure for emergency services and all vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time, under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24 hour period.
