Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

On 06 March 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of;

(a) Knowle Lane (D184) Cranleigh as extends from its junction with (D183) Wildwood Lane to its junction with (D185) Hogspudding Lane; and

(b) Suspend "The Surrey County Council Various Roads in Waverley Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.6) 2023" insofar as it affects that length of road specified in part (a) of this Notice.

Alternative Route: Wildwood Lane, (A281) Guildford Road, (A281) Horsham Road, (A281) Guildford Road, Hillhouse Lane, and Knowle Lane, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to facilitate utility works for, or on behalf of Network Plus. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 6 weeks between the hours of 8am and 5pm during 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 18 March 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
