Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
On 10 May 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Jenner Road (D4014) Guildford as extends from its junction with (D4014) Sydenham Road to its junction with (A246) Epsom Road.
Alternative Route: Epsom Road, Hunter Road, Harvey Road, Bright Hill, Sydenham Road, and Jenner Road or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to carry out improvement and replacement works by, or on behalf of Thames Water. These works are anticipated to be completed over 5 days between 9am and 3pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 30 May 2023.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Due to the nature of the works it will not be possible to maintain vehicular access through the closure, and all vehicular traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.
