Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023

On 16 August 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Hurst Road (C55) Walton On The Hill.

Alternative Route: Ebbisham Lane, (B2220) Chequers Lane, (B2032) Dorking Road, (B2033) Headley Common Road, Church Lane, and Hurst Lane or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to facilitate a safe working zone to access telegraph pole works for, or on behalf of BT Openreach. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day between the hours of 8am and 4pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 31 August 2023.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians.
