Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023

On 03 May 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Horsley Road (C42) Cobham as extends from its junction with (X68065) Goose Green to its access point with the property known as "Oakfield" Horsley Road.

Alternative Route: Chillbrook Road, Ockham Lane, Old Lane and Horsley Road or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to carry out new customer electrical connection works by, or on behalf of ALS Civil Engineers. These works are anticipated to be completed over 5 days between 8am and 6pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 22 May 2023.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. It will not be possible to maintain access through the closure for emergency services, and they will be required to use the signed diversion route.
