Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

On 20 March 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of the northbound carriageway of Hook Road (B284) Epsom as extends from its junction with (C195) Chase Road to a point in line with the common boundary between No. 65 and No.67 Hook Road.

Alternative Route: Chase Road, Temple Road, and Pound Lane.

This Order is required to facilitate new water connection works for, or on behalf of Morrison Water Services. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 9 days between the hours of 8am and 6pm within 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 02 April 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.
