Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2023

On 18 October 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Hermitage Road (A324) Woking as extends from its junction with (D3611) Gorsewood Road to its junction with (A324) Hermitage Roundabout.

Alternative Route: (A324) Hermitage Road, Amstel Way, Lockfield Drive, Victoria Way, (A320) Chertsey Road, Guildford Road, (A319) Chobham Road, Chertsey Road, High Street (Chobham), Bagshot Road, (A322) Guildford Road, Bagshot Road, (A324) Brookwood Lye Road, and (A324) Hermitage Road or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to facilitate highways improvements and/or maintenance works by, or on behalf of Surrey County Council. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 6.30pm and 6.30am within the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 01 November 2023.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
