Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023

On 4 October 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Heathvale Bridge Road (D898) Ash Vale as extends from its junction with (X321) Pine Close to its junction with (D898) Hutton Road.

Alternative Route: (D898) Hutton Road, Prospect Road, (D76) Wharf Road, (B3411) Vale Road, and (D898) Heathvale Bridge Road or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to facilitate highways improvement and/or maintenance works for, or on behalf of Surrey County Council. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible within the 18-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 16 October 2023.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.

Due to the nature of the works, it will not be possible to maintain vehicular access through the closure, and all vehicular traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.
