Green Lane (D248) Ockham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.4) 2023
On 19 July 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to
a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Green Lane (D248) Ockham;
b) suspend "The Surrey County Council Green Lane (D248) Ockham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.3) 2023" in its entirety.
Alternative Route: (B2039) Ockham Road North, (C41) East Lane, and (D247) Long Reach or this route in reverse. This Order is required to carry out sewer connection works by, or on behalf of DeAth Bros Ltd. These works are anticipated to be completed within 5 days, between 8am and 6pm during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 31 July 2023.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Due to the nature of the works it will not be possible to maintain vehicular access through the closure, and all vehicular traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.
