Elmbridge Road (B2130) Cranleigh
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
On 21 June 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Elmbridge Road (B2130) Cranleigh as extends from its junction with the access point of the property known as "Rye Farm" to its junction with (X67177) Essex Drive.
Alternative Route: (A281) Horsham Road, (A281) Guildford Road, Church Street, (B2128) Horsham Road, (B2128) High Street, (B2128) The Common, and (B2130) Elmbridge Road or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate underground improvement works for or on behalf of BT Openreach. These works are anticipated to be completed over 1 day between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm within 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 13 July 2023.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times via the operatives on site, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
