Cobham Road (D2508) and River Lane (D2566) Fetcham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023

On 20 December 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of;

(i) Cobham Road (D2508) Fetcham as extends from its junction with (D2566) River Lane to its junction with (X15197) Fetcham Common Lane; and

(ii) River Lane (D2566) Fetcham as extends from its junction with (D2508) Cobham Road to its junction with (X8171) River Walk.

Alternative Route: a) (D2508) Cobham Road, (A245) Woodlands Lane, (A245) Woodlands Road, (A245) Randalls Road, (A245) Bull Hill, (A245) Station Road, (B2122) Waterway Road, (B2122) Guildford Road, and;

b) (D2508) Cobham Road, (B2122) Guildford Road, (B2122) Waterway Road, (A245) Station Approach Road, (A245) Randalls Road, (A245) Woodlands Road, (A245) Woodlands Lane, and (D2508) Cobham Road.

This Order is required to carry out telecom utility maintenance works for, or on behalf of BT Openreach. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 16 January 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
