Clare Road (D3223) Stanwell
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
On 21 June 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; a) Clare Road (D3223) Stanwell as extends from its junction with (C238) Bedfont Road and for a distance of 27 meters in a south westerly direction along Clare Road, and; b) suspend "The Surrey County Council Various Roads in the Borough of Spelthorne Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023" insofar as it affects that length of road specified in part (a) to this Notice.
Alternative Route: (1) Bedfont Road, High Street, Town Lane, and Clare Road, and; (2) Bedfont Road, Long Lane, (A30) London Road, (A30) Staines Bypass, (A30) London Road, Town Lane, and Clare Road.
This Order is required to carry out water mains connection works by, or on behalf of Affinity Water. These works are anticipated to be completed over 3 days between 8am and 5pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 12 July 2023.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Due to the nature of the works, it will not be possible to maintain vehicular access through the closure, and all vehicular traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.
