Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

On 13 March 2024 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit any person from entering or proceeding on foot or by any other means in that length of Cannon Way Townpath (T8023) Fetcham as extends from its junction with (D2527) Cannon Way to its junction with (D2566) Mole Road.

Alternative Route: Mole Road, River Lane, Cobham Road, and Pound Crescent, or this route in reverse.

This Order, which will commence on 28 March 2024 for a period of 6 months is required to facilitate detailed bridge inspection works for, or on behalf of Network Rail. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 night between the hours of 9pm and 5am.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. No sole access will be affected by this closure.
